Nefolsons Auto Car Hire Policies
We strive to provide our clients with superior service and a full understanding of all policies for the use of our service. We have outlined below our major policies which are subject to change as required. This list does not constitute all policies which are fully outlined in the car hire agreement that must be signed prior to the approval of service.
Service Areas
Nefolsons Auto Car Rentals provides service without additional distance fees in the Lagos metropolitan area. Any locations outside of the Lagos metropolitan area will incur additional distance fees.
Standard Hours of Operation and After Service Hours
Our standard hours of operation start at 8:00am and end at 8:00pm West African Time (WAT). Our after service hours start at 8:01pm and end at 11:00pm. After service hours require additional fees (N10,000), which are charged hourly. We do NOT provide service after 11:00pm for safety/security reasons. We are certain that you will understand and appreciate our effort in ensuring your safety. Although the security situation in Nigeria continues to improve, we, however, encourage you to minimize late night outings during your stay in Lagos and surrounding areas.
Airport pick-up and drop-off are exempted from the no service after 11:00pm rule. We understand that there are various arrival and departure times when traveling internationally. We will be there to pick you up or drop you off no matter what time your flight is scheduled to land at or depart from Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos Nigeria.
A Signed Car Hire Agreement
With the submission of your booking you agree to comply with Nefolsons Autos Car Hire agreement and Policies. In addition a deposit of 50% of total car hire cost is required within 2 calendar days of your booking in order for your reservation to be guaranteed. An additional 25% is to be paid within 5 calendar days then final 25% to be paid within 2 days (unless otherwise noted in the agreement).
Car Hire Fees and Payment Terms
- Peak Period: Please be aware of the Peak period between April 1, and August 31 of every year and December 15 through January 15 of following year. Due to the high demand for vehicles during these peak periods, an extra charge is added for those renting for less than 7 days. However discounts on the extra charge may exist for those renting for more than 7 days of 10-15%. Peak Periods attract additional N7,000.00 (Seven Thousand Naira/Day) due to high demand.
Airport Pick up and Drop off attract a minimum Charge of N35,000 depending on the type of SUV.
Daily Car Hire Service Fee (Off Peak period): Our car rental daily car hire service fee start at N75,000 per day. We also offer after service hours service from 8:01 pm through 11:00 pm at N5,000/hour (both prices are without fuel and subject to discounts). If you require travel to certain surrounding western states, our out of town fees start at N10,000 per day out of town ( Note: This does not include accomodation and feeding for the driver which must be provided at additional cost). Our out of town fees are based on travel distance from Lagos to the travel destination and if accommodations will be provided for the driver. We offer our clients the opportunity to pay in various forms depending if you will be paying in US dollars or Naira. We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and PayPal.
NOTE: PEAK PERIOD RENTAL
THERE IS ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF N7,500/DAY FOR PEAK PERIODS FOR RENTALS LESS THAN 7 DAYS. RENTALS MORE THAN 7 DAYS ATTRACTS DISCOUNTS OF 10-15% OF ADDED CHARGES.
After Hours Service and Fees: After hours service begins at 8:01pm through 11:00pm. The hourly after service hours fee (N5,000 per hour) will be charged for a full or any fraction of an hour for continued service starting at 8:01pm through 11:00pm. This hourly fee applies to service in Lagos and when service is being provided out of town at one of our authorized locations.
Out of Town Service Fees: We provide out of town service primarily to Abeokuta, Ibadan and some Ogun State areas; and only when prior approval by Nefolsons Auto Car Hire Management has been received. We do provide travel to other locations with approval from management. Our out of town fees start at N10,000 per day out of town when providing accommodations for the driver, however if Nefolsons has to accommodate the driver, then the costs will be factored into the new price. Our out of town fees are based on travel distance from Lagos to the travel destination and if accommodations and security will be guaranteed for the driver. Nefolsons Autos reserves the right at any time to review, modify or cancel any long distance request or service due to security and safety concerns.
Payment Terms: Full payment required 5 days prior to pick up for rental less than or equal to 7 days. For rentals greater than 7 days please discuss with management for payment options, at a minimum we accept weekly payments at the beginning of each week period.
Payments: All clients are to pay either online via the payment portals or direct to our Bank Account. OUR DRIVERS WILL NOT BE TAKING PAYMENT BY CASH, NEITHER CAN THEY RECOMMEND ANY ATMS OR BANKS. ALL PAYMENT DISCUSSIONS AND APPROVALS ARE TO BE WITH OFFICE/MANAGEMENT.
The Nefolsons Auto Car Hire NAIRA bank account information will be provided for clients to pay directly to our business account prior to the start of service. If the client would like to pay service fees into our Nigerian bank account, please contact our main office Info@nefolsons.com or by phone at +234-8136652296 to obtain our account information.
Client’s can also pay in US dollars via credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express by visiting our Make a Payment page. We will validate your payment with the service dates and any additional fees on the client’s car hire agreement.
There are no exceptions to this policy and if payment is NOT received per policy booking is not guaranteed.
Driver and pick up details will be communicated with client 2 days prior to pick up.
Adding Additional Days of Service
Should you require additional days to be added to your car rental during your stay, you will be required to pay for all additional days immediately to the Bank account or with your card.
Bank Charges: Bank Charges for Online Credit/Debit Card payments will be reflected in the bill.
Canceling Your Service
We ask that all cancellations must be submitted in writing at Info@nefolsons.com at least 3 days (unless otherwise denoted in the car hire agreement) prior to your expected pick-up day in Lagos. If you make a reservation under 3 days and cancel, a fee may be assessed no less than one day of the daily rate.
Fuel/Gas/Petrol Terms (For non-fuel inclusive service)
The Client is fully responsible for all fuel/gas/petrol charges/fees throughout the duration of using our car hire service. The Client should take note of the starting fuel gauge immediately upon pick-up so that the Client knows exactly where the fuel gauge should return upon the completion of service. Throughout the car hire period, the fuel gauge of the vehicle MUST NEVER fall below the range of a quarter (1/4) tank to avoid costly damages to the vehicle. The Client MUST return the vehicle with the same level of fuel in the vehicle when the service began.
Nefolsons however reserves the rights to offer clients a full tank of petrol at beginning of promo periods, or for long term clients.
Other fluids such as engine oil, brake oil, etc. shall be the sole responsibility of Nefolsons Auto Car Hire.
Additional Vehicle Usage Terms
The Client shall NOT:
- Smoke in the vehicle or Consume Alcohol or allow any person accompanying the Client to smoke or consume alcohol in the vehicle;
- Sublet or hire the vehicle to any other person;
- Employ the services of any chauffeur from Nefolsons Auto Car Hire outside the terms of this contract.
- Permit the vehicle to be operated outside the client’s authority;
- Operate the vehicle or permit it to be operated in circumstances that constitute an offence by the driver which relates to driving or attempting to drive with excess breath or blood alcohol or under the influence of drink or drug; Client is to report immediately any such infractions by driver
- Operate the vehicle or permit it to be operated in any race, speed test, rally, or contest;
- Operate the vehicle or permit it to be operated to propel or tow any other vehicle;
CORPORATE CLIENTS:
- Each Corporate Client shall designate which of employee/staff member the Vehicle shall be used for and such shall be stated in the agreement.
- The Corporation shall have the flexibility to update names, services and lengths of service with Nefolsons Management approval.
- The Corporation shall also be subject to other terms and conditions as listed above.

Nefolsons Auto Car rental car hire service in Lagos, Nigeria chauffeurs come highly recommended and we perform security checks to ensure safety and peace of mind for our clients and Nefolsons. Our vehicles undergo routine maintenance to ensure the highest quality standards as we strive to make your journey pleasant and safe.
